On Monday, 22nd April 2019, PT Asuransi Mitra Pelindung Mustika (MPM Insurance) collaborated with Kontan to conduct financial literacy training for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) entrepreneurs at the Sekar Wangi Restaurant in Bogor. MSME entrepreneurs are growing in big cities, but this growth is not in line with their knowledge of finance. There are still many entrepreneurs who have not been able to develop their business properly and avoid the risks that can occur on their assets. This encourages MPM Insurance to provide this training with the theme "Perencanaan Keuangan Cermat, untuk Entrepreneur Hebat" to MSME entrepreneurs. Various entrepreneurs attending this event have food stalls, workshops, phone credit counters, snacks, and so on.
The training was opened by the President Director of MPM Insurance, Alexander Setokusumo and a representative from Kontan, Aris Akhmadi. Alexander explained the meaning of insurance, "Insurance is a medium where you can minimize negative events or risks that can harm us. For example, a convection business owned is flooded, and then with insurance all losses in the business can be replaced. The amount of premium depends on the level of risk that is protected." Then Eko Endarto, as financial consultant and speaker, also provided educational material on financial management in business.
The next session is a session for education regarding the importance of protecting property and transportation assets by Joko Wuryanto, MPM Insurance Claim Manager. The variety of protection covered by MPM Insurance also explained, such as in the case of vehicle loss, accidental damage, also due to natural disasters or crime.
After the event ended, the participants were happy to take part in this training because their insights could be further developed, especially in how to protect their assets from all the risks of losses that could befall on them. So with the protection of business assets provided by MPM Insurance, these MSME entrepreneurs can focus more on developing their businesses.
